Overall, we had a pretty good stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Buena Park. The room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely kept, and the bed was very comfortable. The lobby was also nice and welcoming. And of course, the warm cookies they give you at check-in were pretty fire! Unfortunately, there were a couple of things that took away from the experience. The biggest issue was the restroom. There was a pretty strong sewage/“poo” smell coming from one of the drains. I couldn’t tell whether it was coming from the bathtub or the sink, but it was pretty gnarly. We ended up just keeping the bathroom door closed because of the smell. We also stopped by the hotel bar in the evening. There were three of us and, unfortunately, none of us were impressed with our drinks. This place is amazing, location, the food was amazing, I even use the laundry service. It was two dollars for the washer, and two dollars for the laundry, about half an hour each machine. Bring your own cash or change, though, there’s ATM, but it’s like three dollars usage. As soon as I arrive there, the lady, front desk, I think her name was Nike. Yes, I said that correctly. One amazing smile! She is a gem! Great guide, never said no to anything…shes here for the people! Plus an amazing pool, hot tub at night, really close to everything and kind of the middle of everything. Medieval times is a walk down the road, a nice steakhouse across the street, and even a gas station for that last-minute quicky items. Parking is plenty, and the rooms are fairly clean! I slept fine for four business days, will return for sure. One last thing there’s an actual gift shop in this place! Pretty neat.

The hotel is centrally located to plenty of restaurants and shopping plazas. I stayed about 8 days. One thing to note is due to it being close to the highway there was a lot of traffic noise overnight. The room service was pretty good, they service rooms daily. Only had slight issues with the housekeeping not leaving enough towels. If theres 4 towels, they should leave 4 clean towels, not 2. Other issue i had here was that when i booked the hotel i was told kids 12 & under eat free with a paying adult, once i got to the hotel i was told by staff that its 5 & under which really messed with my plan since i took into consideration the pricing of meals when booking this hotel.The restaurant was great, however- wish I had a chance to try more items on their menu.
