Visiting from Texas, we stopped in for lunch while exploring the area. First, I have to say this restaurant is beautiful. I loved the atmosphere. The design is what initially drew me in, and it didn’t disappoint. From the lighting and seating to the glassware, décor, and even the restrooms, everything felt thoughtfully designed. It’s one of those places that’s simply enjoyable to sit in. Full transparency, I generally don’t get excited about Italian food, so I may not be the best person to judge authenticity or compare it to other Italian restaurants. I ordered the Bolognese, and while it was good, the meat sauce was a little sweeter than I personally prefer. I also tried the espresso martini, which was fine, but nothing particularly memorable for me. The highlight of our visit was Danny. He was fantastic. This was a "to-go" lunch order: The Margherita Pizza was lacking flavor and definitely not worth the price. Others in the group had the Gorgonzola Pizza and the mushrooms pasta which they enjoyed. The order was placed at 11:00 AM and were told that it would take 20 minutes. 25 minutes after that the host told us that the chef is new and it would be longer...20 minutes later checked on the order again and the host said it was ready. I am being kind on the true amount of time that we waited in consideration for the new chef. The host could be more proactive and check on orders without being asked. Not the greatest first-time experience...too bad because the location of the restaurant is very close to work. Had high hopes that did not live up to expectations.

The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere, and the service was exceptionally friendly, which I really appreciated. However, the food itself was just okay. Good spot for a casual lunch, but I wouldn’t go back.
